1/5/20 UPDATE Please NOTE: Our Crews will be starting removals the week of January 6th this year due to New Year’s falling midweek. Simply UNPLUG your timers and cords and leave everything outdoors for crews to map/label and pickup.
12/15/19 Hard to believe but in less than 10 days Christmas will be upon us once again. Because it falls on a Tuesday this year, that means 2 more shopping weekends for those of us that haven’t even started shopping yet lol 🙂 It also means at least 1 more week of lighting and greenery installations for our holiday crews as long as the weather holds and we don’t get a major snowstorm.
Each evening as I drive home I see more and more houses are lighting up for the season too. With the weather turning colder, fresh cut Christmas Trees and wreaths are out on display at your local nursery and garden centers as well as fresh greens to adorn windows, doors, and fences. Be sure to check out Scotts Orchard on New London Turnpike South Glastonbury as well as Emmy Lou’s Gift Shop in Glastonbury for seasonal door wreaths and tell them we sent you
For 20 years, we have provided commercial quality realistic greenery to accent both homes and businesses throughout Ct. This year we’ve already installed over 300 wreaths and 6000 feet of garland and I’ve still got more coming in this week. We order over 1200 bows each season to replenish our inventory and it’s always nice to add that last finishing touch of color to a holiday lighting display.
Speaking of lighting, we use warm white LED bulbs (not the blue ones) to create a soft and elegant display whether on the house, building, greenery or in the landscape. Larger traditional LED C9s are great for structures including outlining beds like the one displayed here.
Smaller mini-lights add the twinkly effect in greenery, shrubs or trees. Sometimes it’s also nice to add some color accents to the warm white whether in red, blue, green or multi-color to give it some added pizazz.
