Yes many of you are probably asking the question: When will spring get here already? That darn Ground Hog said 6 more weeks but that will hopefully go fast. With the recent freezing temperatures and snow we have been experiencing in New England, February is starting out pretty dreary but we all know that March can surprise us so we still have a few more weeks to go…
The official first day of spring is March 20th. Once the weather turns milder and the ground becomes snow free again, people will walk around and assess their yards and landscapes for determining any damage or improvements they would like to work on this year. Before you know it we will be complaining that it’s too warm and have to turn on our ACs but that’s New England weather for you. Here is an interesting article I read this past week on getting started: Three Steps to Assess Your Landscape by Monique Allen.
Reminder for all of our existing clients, your spring landscape packages are sent out in early February for maintenance renewals and signups. Right now if the weather remains snow free, our crews will be starting cleanups, landscape pruning and mulching in early March similar to last year. If you have not sent in your form yet or need to get an estimate on other projects please contact our office. We are currently booking appointments for mid February at this point if the area can be assessed (minimal snow) for an estimate.
Keeping this in mind, I decided to list some of the most popular services/topics that are of interest each spring to our clients. Hopefully you can use the information to get a jump start on your landscape once the snow melts. If you have any additional questions give us a call if we can assist you or point you in the right direction. We can prune, weed, edge and mulch your landscape plantings so that you can enjoy your time outdoors this spring!
